Brazilian FA signs ICSS for battle against football corruption

March 25 – In a move aimed at protecting Brazilian football from match-fixing and other threats to its integrity, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has signed a landmark agreement with the Qatar-based International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS).

March 13 – With Brazilian football plagued by accusations of match-fixing and corruption the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has agreed a co-operation with the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) who will work with the federation on “a comprehensive and in-depth process of reforms”.

FIFA says Social Media Protection Service was successful in curbing online abuse at WWC2023

December 12 – FIFA President Gianni Infantino said there is “no hiding place” for those who abuse players and officials online, after FIFA and FIFPRO’s collaborative report on the Social Media Protection Service (SMPS) at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 revealed it succeeded in protecting almost 700 players and coaches from online abuse during the tournament.
